Three decades of flooring, one family business

Carpet To Go Flooring started in 1994 with a simple idea: buy flooring by the truckload, keep it in stock, and pass the savings straight to the homeowner. Thirty years later that is still exactly how we work. What began as one warehouse has grown into a group of family-run flooring stores, and our North Charleston showroom brings that same buying power and hands-on service to the Lowcountry.

Because we buy direct and warehouse our own inventory, most of what you pick on Saturday can be installed the following week - no six-week special orders, no surprise freight charges. You see the roll, you see the price per square foot installed, and you decide at your own pace.

We are big enough to stock hundreds of carpet, hardwood, luxury vinyl, tile and laminate options, and small enough that the person who measures your home is the person you can call afterwards. That balance is what keeps Charleston, SC homeowners, builders and property managers coming back to us project after project.

Our own installers, our own standards

Most flooring stores hand your job to whichever sub-contractor is free that week. We don't. Our installers are part of the Carpet To Go Flooring family, trained on the products we sell and accountable to the same people who sold you the floor. If something isn't right, there is nobody to point at but us - and that is exactly how we like it.

Charleston homes are hard on floors. Salt air, summer humidity, sandy entryways and slab foundations all change what will hold up in your house. Our team measures moisture, checks the subfloor and tells you honestly when a waterproof luxury vinyl will outlast the hardwood you had in mind - or when your slab is perfectly fine for the engineered wood you love.

Honesty, respect and putting the customer first are not slogans on a wall here; they are the reason a family business survives thirty years in the same industry. You will never be pressured, upsold or handed a quote with fine print at the bottom.
